HOW TO VERIFY / AMD64

Check it before you boot it.

Save the image and its checksum file in the same folder. Open a terminal in that folder.

The commands below are examples. Replace the filenames with the published AMD64 release filenames when available.

Linux

Check the downloaded file against the checksum file:

sha256sum -c "YOUR-DOWNLOADED-FILE.iso.sha256"

A successful check ends with OK. If you see FAILED, do not install that file.

macOS

Calculate the checksum, then compare the full 64-character result with the value above:

shasum -a 256 "YOUR-DOWNLOADED-FILE.iso"

Windows

Open Command Prompt in the download folder, calculate the checksum, and compare the full result with the value above:

certutil -hashfile "YOUR-DOWNLOADED-FILE.iso" SHA256
